You can now motorize your Hobie Lynx Kayak in seconds attaching the Hobie Lynx Gudgeon with Universal Versa Rudder Adapter and Pole Steering. This kit* includes everything you need!
The Hobie Lynx Gudgeon is designed specifically for the Hobie Lynx rudder bracket, allowing easy replacement of your kayak’s rudder with the Bixpy Versa Rudder and K-1 motor. Installation is simple with no modifications, drilling, glues, or epoxies needed—just plug and play.
For easy steering, the Versa Rudder comes with pole steering** option. This option installs quickly and provides excellent leverage. (You’ll need a paintbrush or broomstick pole for the adapter).
Compatible with all Bixpy motors (J-1, J-2, K-1), the Versa Rudder can motorize Hobie inflatable iTrek and Lynx kayaks. Note: using the motor on inflatable kayaks at high speeds may damage the hull over time.
*Please note that V-arm Steering is not compatible with this setup.
**Broomstick is not included and can be purchased from any hardware store.

The Hobie Twist and Stow Rudder Adapter replaces your Hobie rudder with a Bixpy Rudder and enable you to attach your J-2 Motor to your kayak’s rudder assembly. Steering is done using your Hobie steering system.

** Not recommended on Inflatable Hobie Kayaks and this adapter won’t fit Hobie Pro Angler, Passport, Compass, 2019+ Outbacks and Island Series kayaks.

The ThruHull Pod Adapter for Bonafide Kayaks clips into the Dry Pod opening of your Bonafide kayak in seconds.
The adapter comes with the original Bonafide Dry Pod, allowing you to store and quickly access your gear or personal items.
The Bixpy Motor mounts on the bottom with only a backing plate inside the pod so you lose minimal space in the Dry Pod and can continue to use it for its intended purpose as you motor in your Bonafide kayak.
This adapter also features a motor shield that protects the motor in case of a light impact.
Please note: installation of a motor on the pod will not leave enough space for installing a transducer as intended.
