Battery Safety & Handling Practices
Battery Safety information is available in the user manuals of the products purchased. These are often digital and available directly from the manufacturer’s website(s) and or mobile Apps. If you’re unsure of where to find them, please contact us, but otherwise defer to them for advice on storage, safety and operation.
Some Key Safety Rules of thumb:
-Never charge your battery unattended.
-Never charge your battery in the living areas of a home or vessel (Bedroom, Livingroom, kitchen etc.)
-Be mindful of what’s around your battery when you’re charging it. Chemicals, flammables etc. etc.-Store batteries when not in use at 25% or slightly less. This helps battery life and is safer for idle storage and check them every 30 to 60 days to maintain a charge for battery longevity.
-Only charge your battery before you’re going to use it, meaning don’t let it sit fully charged for more than a day or so. Discharge them if you know they will be sitting for a few days without use. This helps with battery life as well as being a safe practice.
-The only way to discharge a battery is to use (ride) the equipment.
-Consider always using fire rated storage containers when storing at home or a vessel. Zarges cases are a solution that are available for many of the products we sell and are recommended for safer storage.
-Always make sure to have the latest firmware updates for all of your equipment.
-Inspect your battery and equipment for cracks, damage or signs of failure.
-Never charge batteries in direct sunlight.
-Let batteries cool at least 30 minutes prior to recharging.
-Battery fires are extremely rare, but please understand the potential of these batteries as they’re considered Hazmat and are dangerous if used or stored improperly, always follow safe practices!
For battery safety practices always defer to the user manual of the specific product you purchased.
Disclaimer of Warranties; Limitation of Liability
We do not guarantee, represent or warrant that your use of our service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free.
We do not warrant that the results that may be obtained from the use of the service will be accurate or reliable.
You agree that from time to time we may remove the service for indefinite periods of time or cancel the service at any time, without notice to you.
You expressly agree that your use of, or inability to use, the service is at your sole risk. Shipping Timeframes and Costs
We strive to get most orders handled in 2 business days or less with 1 day or less often the case. Typical timeframes for receiving are 2-7 days, but longer times can occur if products are backordered, also for products that are overly long, for products that require special handling and \ or in-store purchases out pace online inventory available causing a backorder situation. In such cases we will notify you and ask if you would like to proceed or cancel the order without penalty with exception of special orders which can have varying lead times. Packages are sent via UPS, FEDEX, USPS or Freight Carrier and tracking will be provided in all cases where possible. Special carriers such as in transportation of kayaks might need manual updates upon request via telephone or email request. Shipments with product value over $250 will automatically have signature requirements. You can request for signature requirements to be removed in some cases and you will be solely responsible for any occurrences of theft. We reserve the right to not remove signature requirements for very high value items or when required by carrier insurance policies.
Expedited shipping is possible for many of the products we sell unless it has special handling requirements such as Lithium Ion batteries as they’re prohibited from being shipped via air cargo from our location. All Lithium battery products will ship ground unless special arrangements have been made in advance and where possible. Contact us for expedited shipping needs. If we offer complimentary shipping on a product, then we only ask for the difference to “upgrade” to expedited shipping (billed separately).
Shipping cost rates are typically free \ complimentary for orders over $50 when possible (some products have a small charge), but also flat rates or percentage based on the value of the product to determine it’s shipping cost. In all instances, shipping rates or shipping offers will be displayed in the final checkout page. If it states “”Flat rate” but displays no cost, then that product would not have a shipping cost. It can also display “Free shipping”. Please contact us with any questions or concerns before or immediately after on order is placed if necessary.
Cancellations
Orders can be cancelled within 24 hours of order placement or if the order has not processed for shipment. After 24 hours or if the order has been processed for shipment, then a 3% cancellation fee applies to any refunds. We do not keep these funds, but rather the card processing companies do, so it is imperative to notify of us of any order cancellation requests immediately by email, phone, or chat.
Coupon Code Restrictions
While we strive to give the best prices possible, we will always honor manufacturer MAP Policies and restrict coupon usage when required to do so. These restrictions may include certain brands and items already marked on sale. Again we always strive for the best prices, so feel free to contact us with any questions regarding coupon codes or best pricing available.
